Morning Plenary: Journeying into the Food and Health Systems

When:
Wednesday May 15   11:15 AM to 12:30 PM (1 hour 15 minutes)
Where:
BMO Atrium, Evergreen Brick Works
Discussion:
0
The morning opens with reflections from the Nourish team, on three-years of experiments, collaboration, and learning in the food and health systems.

This will be followed by a keynote panel to explore some of the big questions of how food and health systems are disconnected, and can be reconnected, in an era of climate change, reconciliation, food insecurity and rapidly increasing rates of diet-related disease. How can food be brought into a more central place for health and healing and what role can health care facilities play in creating systemic change through food purchasing, food service models, creating healthy food environments and working to address the social determinants of health outside of their walls?
