Alessandra Savina graduated with honors in Design and Visual Communication at the Politecnico di Torino (Turin, Italy) through a thesis addressing research and project about product innovation in the Food Packaging Systems. The project, conducted in collaboration with the Cuki Cofresco Company, assists the application for a joint patent filing. She continues polytechnic studies, enrolling in the EcoDesign Master's Degree and she graduates again with honors through a thesis that addresses the application of Systemic Design to the salentinian agricultural scenario (Apulia, Italy) for the prevention of OQDS , caused by the spread of the X.Fastidiosa pathogen. Currently she is a Ph.D. Student in Management, Production and Design at the Politecnico di Torino (Turin, Italy) and she take care of Systemic Design, Food Production and Public Health. In her research path she is currently working on different Systemic Design projects for Sustainable Living, crossing Health Systems and Food Networks. The title of her current thesis project is "From Food Production to Health: Systemic Strategies Design for a Prevention Project in the Public Health Sector". The purpose of this project is to prevent and reduce the social costs related to the production and consumption of unhealthy foods, capable of generating a sophisticated complex of chronic diseases. In this respect, the planning of a network of relations between patients and healthy citizens, actors belonging to the health care scenario and those belonging to the production and distribution of food is underway in Italy.
